Valentine’s Day – a special day to celebrate love . . . for our significant other, our family, our friends . . . ourselves! What better way to celebrate the divine goddess within each of us than with an all-girls tea party – friends, food, fun, frivolity, flowers, and favors. Here are a few ideas for a simple, yet fabulous event.
Big, fat snowflakes are falling, the cold chill is in my bones, and I feel a longing for the beginning of the warm spring.
We hope you have peace, love, joy, inspiration, prosperity and lots of magic in 2019! That is certainly our goal, and we will be here to share that joy and magic with you!
In the midst of the chaotic energies and frustrated people going around this holiday season, we stepped away from the world and entered into magical kitchen elf mode to make handmade rolled cookies and candy bark. It was a merry and more traditional Christmas activity, that we have been so desiring!
Yule, or the winter solstice, takes place on the longest and darkest night of the year. This festival celebrates the birth of the sun, warmth and the return of the growing season. Each day after Yule the sunlight continually grows a little brighter and stronger. In Pagan tradition, the goddess gives birth to the Sun God, or the Oak King, and with the birth of the solstice sun, the light is reborn. Yule takes place on December 21st, or the winter solstice, of every year.
Many years, much work and much love has gone into making our Pinterest boards a magical place to both yearn and learn. Feel the magic of the season when you visit our Winter and Yule Pinterest boards, or join our over 15,000 followers in following all the magic!
I went out on a search to find relaxing music and videos to play to celebrate the beginning of the magical season, and to play in the background while I decorate for the holidays. I found it a bit of a challenge to find Christmas music and videos that are relaxing and zen, but I had success and decided to share them with all of you! I hope you enjoy your Yule decorating and winter season! Enjoy and Happy Holidays!
Wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving day! Today I am thankful for so many things, especially the harvest season that brings us an abundance of healthy and delicious food. May everyone live in peace, joy and prosperity. Thanks for visiting,
It’s definitely in the air . . . the season of Yule! The air is crisp and chilly. And shopping at Whole Foods for Thanksgiving veggies today brought the start of the season to life. As is the tradition in my Scandinavian family, we cook all holiday meals with lots of root vegetables, including rutabaga, parsnip, sweet potatoes, and squash. Luckily, Whole Foods had them in abundance (and for the first time ever I found an organic rutabaga)! In this visit we also saw the introduction to the up and coming season, with live green garlands, wreaths brimming with pine cones, Christmas trees bundled and lined up along the storefront.
